Elizabeth Lonsdorf is a Professor of Anthropology at Emory University. Her research program integrates studies in primate behavior, learning, development, and health. Currently, her research focuses on behavioral development and the intersection of health and behavior in wild chimpanzees, as well as social learning and tool use in various primate species. She primarily conducts research on chimpanzees at the Gombe Stream Research Centre in Tanzania, but also collaborates with colleagues at various captive research facilities.
